Charlemont Exchange

This project involved extensive structural cut and carve alterations to an existing RC framed building. Proposals included demolition of heavily loaded primary RC columns and foundations. Bespoke temporary works framing with preloading capacity was required to temorarily remove load from columns while eliminating irrecoverable deflections due to elastic shortening. All temporary works designs had to facilitate demolitions of existing elements while also accomodating the future permanent works framing and foundations.
