This project involved the construction of a new cinema above the existing Drogheda Town Centre shopping mall, which remained live for the duration of the project. To accomodate the long spans required and achieve a lightweight solution, primary structure included extensive use of steel trusses, supported on steel columns carried down through the live retail space to the existing basement carpark and supported on new foundations formed using minipiling techniques.
